VIVIENNE McDONALD [F.R.A.S]

A designer for decades, Vivienne now creates art for the sheer joy that drawing and painting bring to the soul.

Living in Sydney, she’s constantly inspired by the sparkling waters of the harbour and beaches but loves observing the Australian bush with its endless nuances in colour and light.

Working in oils and watercolours, Vivienne’s art will engage you in rich landscapes or vibrant still lifes and delicately drawn loved and found objects.

“For me, art is the quiet giver and taker. Giving the great satisfaction of a brave brushstroke yet taking up a lifetime seeking the impossibility of perfection”.

Following early training and classes, from 2011 has studied oil and watercolour painting at the Royal Art Society of NSW and is now a Fellow [F.R.A.S] and a member of the R.A.S. Council.
